Writing a bio about yourself is awkward - so to spare us all (but mostly me), here are ten things you should know in no particular order...

  • I grew up in Florida, in a house that was almost entirely mauve.

  • I didn’t get into the biz, the biz was always in me. I've been pretending I was Katie Couric since I was nine-years-old.

  • My mom is Jewish and my dad is Italian. So, food. And guilt. But also food.

  • I’ve eaten live octopus in Korea and roasted a marshmallow on a volcano in Guatemala. I eat kiwis with the skin on.

  • Sometimes I brag - like when I tell you I went to Northwestern and I have two Emmys and a James Beard nomination.

  • I have stage fright, but one time I was brave and told a story at The Moth.

  • I have a tattoo on my elbow that says “macaroni.” Get it?

  • I'm an old soul with an adventurous spirit and have jumped off far more tall things than I've told my Mom about.

  • I am freakishly flexible.

  • I was on a few episodes of Louie... and became an accidental meme.
